Timber Frame Building Projects
Timber frame is a commonplace modern method of construction which is increasing in popularity. The construction method uses standardised, prefabricated timber wall panels and floors. The prefabricated uses advanced breathable membranes, insulation and vapour control layers along with careful detailing to ensure durability. Building regulation requirements for thermal, acoustic and fire performance are all incorporated into the timber frame design.
The pre-fabricated, easy to erect package delivery consists of inner leaf, internal partitions, floors and roof thereby quickly providing for a watertight structure. Predetermined openings mean that windows and doors can be fitted easily, also ready routes for wiring and plumbing, significantly reducing the time required for these trades. Block or brickwork is no longer the element driving the entire construction schedule.
Timber frame allows prefabricated floor cassettes to be installed and the offsite manufacture enhances quality and speed of construction as well as safety on site. Floor Cassettes also improve Health & Safety during construction, eliminating risks associated with working from height and providing a working platform upon installation.
Internal trades can continue, irrespective of progress on the external envelope, and in a relatively clean environment.
Quite simply, timber frame is one of the fastest methods of construction and our fitting teams have been known to erect blocks of 4 or 5 houses from concrete foundation slab to the trussed roof being in place in less than a week.
Our customers vary from local builders to some of the large nationals and we service sites across Cumbria, Lancashire, Cheshire, Greater Manchester, Yorkshire and Humberside. We offer a supply and fit service.
All of our factory engineered timber frame solutions are supplied with layout drawings, engineering calculations and material details.
