Heywood Timber Engineering is currently providing the roof structure for the construction of a large project in Hale Barns. The impressive site, situated in Cheshire near Manchester, will house multiple apartments, including numerous £million plus penthouses, various shops, bars and restaurants as well as a Booths supermarket.

The complex roof structure was required to create striking aesthetics as well as suitable living and working arrangements for homes and shops alike. Once completed, the Hale Barns area will see a significant change in amenities.

The structure, featuring significant runs of 90 plus trusses displays multiple intricate areas of design. The designs also had to match the steel gable structures that were already in place.

Working with supply and fit roofing contractor, Carevalue Structures, Heywood Timber Engineering had to manufacture trusses within two weeks of approval. Carevalue had to fit the roof within similar timescales. The close working relationship between the two companies meant this was achieved.

“In my 30 years of working in this industry, this project was one of the most challenging roof structures we needed to deliver. It would not have been possible without the close working relationship between Heywood Timber Engineering and Carevalue Structures.” Mike Price, Managing Director, Carevalue Structures
